We've launched an evolution of our product, so some of the terminology and guidance in this article might be a bit out of date, and we're working hard to update it. You can learn more about our new workflow offering here, brush up on the new terminology here, and find out how to build your first workflow here.
What is Unito?
Unito is software that lets you optimize your workflows by integrating your favorite work management tools, letting your teams collaborate seamlessly regardless of the tools they use.
After the initial setup, Unito is totally invisible in your day-to-day work. You and your teams can keep working on the tools you like most and we make sure everything is synced automatically between them.
What does Unito do?
Unito uses flows to link up blocks of work between your favorite tools. Once a flow is created, Unito will automatically take the changes you make in one tool and apply them to the other.
For example, say you create a flow between a Trello board and an Asana project. Your Trello cards will appear in Asana as tasks (and vice-versa). If you comment on the Trello card, the comment will show up in the Asana task.
Here are some other things that Unito can sync between tools:
- Closing work items
- Updating the title or description
- Changing assignees
- Adding tags or labels
- Attaching files
- Making appropriate comments (and less appropriate ones, so be careful...)
Depending on the work management tools it will also sync:
- Status and workflows
- Priorities and importance
- Custom fields
It only takes a couple of minutes to set up a flow. You first add an account for each of your tools, then choose the blocks of work you want to sync. That's it! Everything will then run in the background automatically.
Beyond the flow, Unito offers a bunch of additional settings that let you customize it to your specific workflow:
- Use the workflow designer to build and optimize workflows
- Add rules to include or exclude work items.
- Synchronize in only one direction.
- Prefix work items with GitHub/Jira issue numbers.
- Synchronize pull-requests.
- Synchronize Epics and Sprints.
How do I access Unito?
Accessing Unito is pretty straightforward; for new setups, choose your tools directly from https://unito.io and we'll walk you through the 2-minute process.

How do I navigate the Unito interface?
The Dashboard has a list of all the flows you created. From this list, you can:
- Click on the text of each flow to edit them.
- Manually trigger a synchronization.
- Toggle manual syncing on/off.
- Click the three dots to the right of a flow to edit or delete it.
But that's not all you can do on the dashboard! You can create new flows by clicking Create flow.
The Integrations tab houses the accounts from the tools you use. Here you can add or remove them.
Clicking on your avatar in the top-right corner of the page lets you access the Pricing and Workspace pages.
Finally, the support chat lets you talk with us at any time. We'll make sure to answer you as soon as possible!

Unito works pretty much automatically, but behind the rows of monkeys are real humans. We're called Jordan, Hannah, Jeremie, Marissa, Nilovna, Louis, and Natacha, just to name a few.
If you need anything, just reach out to us. We'll get back to you right away, and get those monkeys back in line!
