Both custom item types in Wrike offer basic fields, allow for custom field creation, and can have unique workflows associated with them.

How to set up custom item types for Wrike Sync

  1. Connect your tools as you would in any flow. Wrike Sync Connect
  2. Choose a flow directionWrike Sync flow direction
  3. Set your rules:
    1. If you only want to sync data from your CITs, add the CIT as a rule. Wrike Sync rules
    2. Syncing from another tool TO Wrike: Under your list of actions, you can add a rule to "set default custom item type to" your chosen CIT.

    3. If you have multiple item types to sync, be sure to configure your item types in the next step.

  4. Configure your field mappings
    1. If your other connected tool also has item types, be sure to pair up each item type with your CITs. If you don't configure fields this way, then all newly-created items will refer to your default rules.  Wrike Sync fields
