How to Configure Jira for Unito Access

There are a few extra steps you need to take before setting up a Jira workflow with Unito. Here's everything you need to know!

What does this article cover?

Before you can add a Jira account to Unito, change your contact email visibility to "Anyone." Then Jira itself must be configured to recognize the Unito App by setting up an “Application Link.”

This guide is for Jira Cloud users. You can find our guide to setting up Unito with Jira Data Center or on-premise Jira Server here.

Required Jira permissions

You will need to have administrator access to your Jira user. If you don't have administrator access, consider signing in with your User credentials instead.

Change your contact email visibility

The first step for adding Jira to Unito is to access your Jira "Profile and visibility" page. At the very bottom, you should see your email address with a "Who can see this?" drop-down menu. Set the visibility of the contact email address to "Anyone."
