Our Smartsheet integration is live! Because it's still in beta, here are a few things you should know.
How does this beta work?
When an integration on the upcoming integrations page gets enough interest, we start working on adding it to the Unito toolbox. We then release a beta version of the integration so you can get access to it earlier. That opens it up to your feedback so we can tailor it to better fit your use case.
Our Smartsheet integration is now in beta, meaning you can start connecting it to your Unito account right now! However, there are a few differences between a beta integration and a regular integration that you should know about.
Supported fields and other features
Most of Smartsheet's columns, such as Date, Text, Number, Dropdown, and Checkbox can be synced, mapped, and used in rules. Note that the Predecessor column can only be synced from Smartsheet to another tool — and not back. Other fields in tasks with a predecessor will still be synced in both directions.
If there's something you'd like to see from this integration that we're not doing yet, please reach out to us! Your feedback helps us focus our efforts.
What counts as an item in sync?
For Smartsheet, Unito counts every synced row as an item in sync.
What this integration doesn't support (yet!)
Some of Smartsheet's columns can't be synced with Unito just yet. That means you can't use them in customized mappings or your rules. These columns are:
-
People
-
Symbols
-
Auto-Number/Systemfield
-
Predecessors
-
Comments
We also don't support subtasks just yet. Keep in mind that you also won't be able to sign up to Unito with your Smartsheet account. Make sure to use another tool account or an email/password combination.
We can't wait to see what you do with this integration. If you have any questions or feature requests, please reach out to us with the chat bubble! We'll be happy to help.
