An Overview of Unito's Teamwork Integration

Ready to start syncing Teamwork tasks? Here's what you can expect from our integration.

In this article:

Unito syncs your Teamwork data to other apps and tools automatically. All you have to do is create a flow that turns your tasks into spreadsheet rows, tickets, or another work item.

Which Teamwork fields can you sync with Unito?

The table below lists out all the fields you can sync with our Teamwork integration, as well as which fields can be used in rules.

Quick definitions:

    • One-Way: Changes to the Teamwork task field will appear in the other synced field but not vice versa.
    • Two-Way: Changes to either synced field will appear in the other.
    • Rules: This task field can be used as a trigger in your rules to filter work items from syncing with Unito.

Here are some other things you can do with our Teamwork integration:

  • Sync Teamwork projects to projects and boards in other tools

  • Create Teamwork projects directly from Unito

Got feedback? Submit a Unito feature request to let us know what you'd like to see in the next update to our Teamwork integration.

Note: In order to create Teamwork projects from Unito, you must have administrator permissions in Teamwork or permission to add projects. If you don't have these permissions, reach out to someone who has administrator permissions.

What counts as an item in sync?

For Teamwork, Unito counts every synced task as an item in sync.

Limitations of Unito's Teamwork integration

You won't be able to log in to Unito with your Teamwork account; you'll have to use an account from another tool or the email and password you used to sign up.

Necessary permissions

In order to properly sync tasks, Unito users need to be a Client User in Teamwork and not just a Collaborator.

Beyond that, Unito only needs special permissions if you want to create Teamwork projects directly from Unito. To do this, you must have administrator permissions in Teamwork or permission to add projects. If you don't have these permissions, reach out to someone who has administrator permissions.

Connecting Teamwork to your Unito account

If you don't have a Unito account, you'll need to sign up. You can do this either through another work management tool — like Asana or Jira — or with an email address and password.

If you already have a Unito account, here's how you can connect Teamwork to it.

Go to your workspace.

Click on "integrations."

Find Teamwork in the list and click on "connect account."

Follow the on-screen prompts.

And that's it! Now you can start syncing Teamwork with any of our other integrations.

*Note that you can also add Teamwork to your Unito account through the regular sync creation flow.
