Our Salesforce integration is live! Because it's still in beta, here are a few things you should know.
How does this beta work?
When an integration on the upcoming integrations page gets enough interest, we start working on adding it to the Unito toolbox. We then release a beta version of the integration so you can get access to it earlier. That opens it up to your feedback so we can tailor it to better fit your use case.
Our Salesforce integration is now in beta, meaning you can start connecting it to your Unito account right now! However, there are a few differences between a beta integration and a regular integration that you should know about.
Supported fields for Salesforce tasks
Beta integrations don't always support as many fields as their full-featured counterparts. Here are the fields you can sync with our Salesforce integration, along with which fields can be used in rules.
Salesforce task field | Synced? | Rules? |

*A few things to keep in mind:
-
This is a locked field, meaning that it's required for your flow to work properly. You'll need to create a custom field in the tool you're syncing Salesforce to that represents the account you're syncing from. You'll have to put the exact text from the Salesforce account field in the other tool's custom field.
-
If the tool you're syncing with Salesforce doesn't support custom fields, you can only build one-way flows. Changes will only be synced from Salesforce to the other tool.
-
If two accounts have the same name, work items in the other tool will be synced to the first account.
If there's something you'd like to see from this integration that we're not doing yet, please reach out to us! Your feedback helps us focus our efforts.
What counts as an item in sync?
Unito's Salesforce integration supports three different work items: tasks, contacts, and opportunities. Each flow can only sync one type of work item, and any work item synced by that flow will count as an item in sync. So, for example, if you sync Salesforce tasks with a Unito flow, each event synced counts as an item in sync.
What this integration doesn't support (yet!)
Because this integration is still in beta, there are some things you won't be able to do.
-
Syncing or filtering by assignee: You won't be able to sync Salesforce assignees to other tools just yet.
-
Chatter: Our beta integration doesn't currently support this.
-
Webhooks: This is still in the works.
- Related to: This field isn't supported yet.
We can't wait to see what you do with this integration. If you have any questions or feature requests, please reach out to us! We'll be happy to help.
