Unsupported ServiceNow fields

  • Description footer: Not supported by this integration.
  • List fields (multi-select): Not currently supported by this integration.

Other ServiceNow limitations

  • Simple hierarcies: Parent-child sync between records of the same type (for example, a parent incident and its child incidents) isn't currently supported. Mixed hierarchies between different record types — like Incident → Incident Task — are supported.
  • Rich text in comments: Not currently supported by this integration.

Syncing comments

Unito’s ServiceNow integration supports both public and private comments. When syncing comments, consider the following:

  • You can create a rule to determine whether public or private comments get synced to other tools.
  • Comments synced from other tools to ServiceNow become work notes by default. To sync them as public comments instead, configure a rule in your flow that sets the Public field to true on the ServiceNow side.
  • To sync only public comments from ServiceNow to another tool, add a default value on the Rules page that filters comments where Public is true. To sync only work notes (private comments) outbound, do the inverse — filter where Public is false.
