Troubleshooting an Unreachable Domain Error
What to do if you receive an error code stating that the URL you provided is unreachable.
In this article:
What is this error?
When signing up, logging in, or adding a connector to Unito with one of the many tools we support, you might receive an error code stating that the URL you provided is unreachable. Here's an example in Jira:

How to fix this error
It sounds simple, but it's true: putting in the correct URL should fix this problem.
Of course, if you're still having issues connecting with Unito, please contact us.
What causes the unreachable domain error?
All this error means is that, using the URL provided above, we were unable to find your Jira instance. This could be for a variety of reasons. Some examples:
-
You've made a typo. It happens. Be sure to double check that it's typed out correctly, or copied and pasted in its entirety.
-
Your company uses a software that changes URLs. There are several services that do this, so be sure that your company isn't using one.
-
Your URL has changed recently. If an outdated URL is being used here, this error will pop up. Be sure you're using the most recent one.
- Are you working with a self-hosted or on-premise installation? If so, you can find our full guide to on-premise installations here.
