We will never close a workspace without your express permission. So here's everything you need to know about canceling with Unito and closing your account and billing.
Who can close their Unito workspace?
Only the workspace owner can close a Unito account on their own, and the owner must be the only workspace member.
In the example below, Una is the only member of her workspace, and the workspace owner (AKA an admin), so only she can close this Unito account:
Why do I need to be the only workspace member?
For security reasons, we can't enable users to close workspaces with multiple members in case one of those members has an active flow syncing work items, since doing so could disrupt their work in other tools.
So first, you'll have to remove all other members from your workspace.
Remove members from your Unito workspace
The workspace owner will have to remove other members before closing the account. If you aren't the workspace owner, ask the current owner to transfer ownership to you first.
Here's how to remove members from your Unito workspace:
- Click the profile icon in the top-right corner of the Unito dashboard, then Members & Active users.
- Click the symbol with three dots beside a user's name, then Remove from workspace.
Closing a Unito workspace yourself
Now, select About my workspace.
If you've followed the steps above, the link will be on the left-hand side of your screen, or if you're coming in from the dashboard, you'll have to select your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen first, then click About my workspace.
From this screen scroll down a bit and click the red Close workspace button.
A pop-up will appear informing you that closing your workspace is irreversible and the following details will be removed: your flows, workflows, and any identifiable personal information.
Simply click the red button again, and follow the remaining on-screen instructions.
