About this release
In this release, we covered several bug fixes - which many of you have been waiting for :) - and took the time to sprinkle some more love into the backend with some hearty refactoring so you can keep on syncing on, smoothly. Here are the major points.
- JIRA permissions on sync creation
Some users experienced issues when trying to sync certain projects due to JIRA permissions limiting access on those specific projects. We have reduced the number of required permissions during the sync creation so you should now be able to get around them and sync happily!
- New tasks: Issue Number Prefix to Task Title & Description Footer added without any update required
Previously, when creating a new task, the issue number would not be added to the task title until an update was made to the task on either side. Now, the issue number will be added to the task title without having to make any updates to it at all. Just wait for the auto-sync to occur, or click the Sync Now button to trigger it manually. This request was popular, so here it is! :)
Same with the description footer, it now appears in a new task without having to update the task on either side.
- Custom Duration Field
Some of you might have seen some funky numbers appearing in the custom time fields between Wrike and JIRA. Although Wrike in general calculates one business day as 8 hours, as does JIRA, their custom time fields explicitly calculate one business day as 24 hours. Therefore, for this particular mapping, we've whipped up a conversion mechanism and voilà. Both sides will now see it as one day.
