A new version of Unito is available, and it’s a big one! A whole new platform actually. Read about the change on our blog.
I’m already using Asana + Github, what’s happening?
You have nothing to do, you will receive an email when you’ll be able to access the new platform.
- If you have active links, they’ll be on the new platform, still active, with all the custom settings.
- If you don’t have any active link, you just have to access the new platform on the website. You will just need to re-authorize your Asana and GitHub accounts.
This is our biggest release to date, what’s new?
More integrations
Here are all the integrations available now:
- Asana - GitHub
- Asana - GitHub Enterprise
- Asana - Jira
- Asana - Jira on-premise
- Wrike - GitHub
- Wrike - GitHub Enterprise
- Wrike - Jira
- Wrike - Jira on-premise
A new interface
It is pretty familiar for our Wrike users but not our Asana + GitHub users. Feel free to head to The Basics and Get Started guides to learn how to use it.
No more passwords
For the users coming from the Asana + GitHub integration platform, you won’t have to use your Unito credentials to log in. You just have to authorize your tools and Unito will automatically recognize you. If you had active links with custom settings in the old platform, they’ll be here waiting for you. Still active and with the same settings.
New features
Custom fields support
Custom fields mapping is now available in Unito. Depending on the tools you sync you will be able to map custom fields between them to make sure your workflows are sync both ways.
Tools fully supporting custom fields:
- Asana
- Wrike
- Jira
Tools that have fields that can be synced to custom fields:
- GitHub

One-way sync
Unito is now supporting one-way sync. If enabled, it will only sync info from one tool to the other but not the other way around.
This means that every action performed on a synced task\issue (comment, open\close, etc.) will not be synced back to the original task\issue.
Enable it in your Sync settings under the tab of the tool you want to enable one-way sync for > “Read only” toggle.
Fully customizable field mapping
You can now customize every field mapping available for your tools. It means really everything: titles, descriptions, due dates, custom fields, workflows, status, etc.
Not only can you map any field of one tool to any field of the other tool but you can also choose at the field level what you want to sync or not.

Shared syncs
As you set up your syncs with Unito, it is very likely that you will end up sharing them with other users on your team or in your organization. A sync is shared when either of the two sync accounts used to sync is also associated with another user.

Add accounts and change account used to sync on the fly.
Unito made it very easy to add new provider accounts for your syncs.
Just click on the “Add Account” in the My Accounts panel on your Unito dashboard. It’s a great way to quickly add dedicated Sync Accounts.
Before adding an account on Unito, make sure you’re logged in with this account in the tool you want to sync.
Sync every 5 min
Thanks to the new platform infrastructure, we were able to reduce the sync delay to 5 minutes between each sync. Enjoy!
Backend Improvements
- Faster sync, especially large projects
- More reliable sync
- Merge concurrent operations. If some edits a title and another a description on the other side, Unito will merge them together, instead of overwriting with the most recent
