This has to be our biggest release yet! Two major functionalities have been introduced, as well as a fresh new look for the Review page.
Sync any app, any way
Previously, the project to sync was limited to certain apps (GitHub, Jira and Trello). You could only sync a GitHub project into Asana but not the other way around. Same with Jira into Wrike. Well, as of now on, you could do vice-versa! This unlocking is huge! Try it out and let us know how it goes!
All apps now appear as a first choice:
And all of the remaining apps will still appear as a second choice:
Merge existing projects
In the past, syncing a GitHub repo would create a new project in Asana. Same with Jira into Wrike. But that wasn't so convenient when you already had a project on the other side. Hence, the beauty of this new functionality: you can now sync with an existing project in Asana and Wrike. And since the apps have been unlocked, you can do so from any of the apps. This will save you time and effort when creating that initial sync!
Note that depending on how many projects/repos/boards you have, it may take a few seconds to retrieve that list.
The Review page, reviewed
Naturally, since we changed quite a bit in the flow of the apps, the Review page needed some reviewing. We've included some more detail, such as, what you're about to sync and options for customization.
Here's what it looks like when syncing an existing Trello board with an existing GitHub sync.
Note that this page will vary depending on the type of sync you're creating. Don't forget to check out the customization page before syncing! Lots of options to tweak this and that! But if you're in a hurry, you can always do that later too :)
