Synced fields and other features

Here are the fields you can currently sync with Airtable, whether they can be used in two-way flows, as well as whether you can use them in rules or not.

Most fields can be synced both ways. This means changes in one tool will affect the other and vice-versa. You can also edit a flow (or a specific field mapping) so that changes only go from one tool to the other and not back.

Limitations and things to keep in mind

We’re constantly looking to better support Airtable’s growing list of features, fields, and use-cases. Here are a few things you can't do yet:

  • Signing up to Unito with your Airtable account

  • Creating a table from Unito

  • Syncing comments

In addition, there are some specific things you need to keep in mind if you want to add Airtable to your workflows.

  • Make sure to add the Last Modified Time column to bases you want to sync. Unito workflows need this bit of data in order to work properly. You can always hide this column if you don't need to see it, but make sure you don't delete it.

  • If you want to sync a dropdown list (like Status), make sure it's in the base you're building your workflow around. Otherwise, you won't be able to select it when you customize your mappings.

  • When connecting your Airtable account to Unito, you'll need to generate an API key or copy an existing one. Just go into Airtable, click on your avatar in the top right corner of your screen. Click on Account in the dropdown, and scroll down to the API header. Generate (or copy) your API key here. Then, when you go to connect Airtable with Unito, just paste your API key when prompted. It's that simple. Note: If you've already generated an API key, don't generate a new one, or you'll create problems with any other integrations you're using. Just use the key you already have.
