What this article covers:

  • How Trello members sync to Asana tasks
  • How Trello members sync to GitHub issues
  • How Trello members sync to Wrike tasks

Note: First, make sure your users are properly mapped across projects, to do that, go to the "Map fields" tab in your sync settings and then "Map users".

One of the known advantages of Trello is the possibility to assign several members to the same card. How does this reflect in other synced project? Especially the ones that only support one assignee per task?

Asana

When syncing a Trello card with an Asana task, if there is one Trello card member, it will become the Asana task assignee. If there are several members on the same card only the last member assigned to the card will be the Asana task's assignee.

GitHub

Note: This is temporary.
When syncing an existing repository with a new Trello board, assignees won't sync. You will need to reassign cards on Trello.

The good news is that GitHub also supports multiple assignees for one issue.

If you sync an existing Trello board with an existing GitHub repository (and your users are properly mapped in your sync settings), assignees should sync between the two apps.

Wrike

Note: This is temporary.
When syncing an existing Wrike project with a new Trello board, assignees won't sync, you will need to reassign cards on Trello.

Wrike also supports multiple assignees for one task.

If you sync an existing Trello board with an existing Wrike project (and your users are properly mapped in your sync settings), assignees should sync between the two projects.
