Using the Mirror Power-Up for Trello requires only three simple steps. Learn:
- How to enable and authorize the Mirror Power-Up for Trello
- How to choose the fields you want to mirror
- How to choose your destination board and list
- The difference between Trello's Mirror cards and Unito's Mirror Power-Up
Step 1: How to enable and authorize the Mirror Power-Up
Are you already a Unito user? Follow these steps to enable the Mirror Power-Up.
The first step is to enable the Power-Up on the origin and destination boards. Make sure you’re logged into an account that has access to all boards you want to connect. We recommend using a bot account that has access to all the boards you would like to mirror to.
And then authorize by clicking on the Power-Up:
Note: If you already have a Unito organization, we may ask you to link your Mirror Team with your existing Unito organization. If you choose to link your Mirror Team, this just means you'll be using the mirrors included within your subscription, rather than creating a brand new Mirror trial.
Step 2: Choose the fields you want to mirror
Note: Mirrored fields are applied at the board level. So any cards mirrored from this board will sync all fields defined in your settings.
Step 3: Choose the destination board and list
From the back of your Trello card, click Mirror and select which board and list you would like to mirror to.
And that’s it! Your card will now be mirrored onto your board of choice, and any changes made to either card will be synchronized two-ways.
The difference between Trello's Mirror cards and Unito's Mirror Power-Up
In February of 2021, Trello announced the release of Mirror cards. While this new feature shares a name with Unito’s Mirror Power-Up, there's one key difference between the two. Trello's Mirror cards create one-way relationships; only changes made in the original card will be carried over to its duplicates. With Unito's Mirror Power-Up, changes made in either card will update the other.
