How Unito Flows Automatically Recovers From Downtime and Errors
Whether the tools you sync go down temporarily or the webhooks our integrations use have some inconsistencies, Unito can automatically recover and sync your data. Here’s how.
In this article:
- What happens to Unito flows during tool downtime?
- How do Unito flows self-heal from technical errors?
- What happens when Unito goes down?
What happens to Unito flows during tool downtime?
Through a combination of webhooks and periodic scans, Unito flows can fully recover from any downtime of a connected tool. After an outage, your Unito flows automatically scan your tools for any missed changes and sync them. So while a tool going down means your flows temporarily won’t sync any data, you’ll see any changes Unito missed reflected in both tools as soon as they’re back online.
Tool outages are reported on Unito’s status page. Click on the SUBSCRIBE TO UPDATES button and you’ll get notified whenever this happens.
How do Unito flows self-heal from technical errors?
Configuration errors and technical issues in your tools can temporarily prevent individual fields or entire flows from syncing. Examples of these issues include:
- Fields being accidentally deleted.
- The user account used in your flow being deactivated.
When these errors are fixed, Unito flows will automatically review all synced data to make changes as needed or only apply to future updates, based on your configuration.
You can also activate an optional notification setting in each flow to be notified when that flow completely stops syncing.
What happens when Unito goes down?
In the rare cases where Unito itself suffers an outage, your flows will automatically recover once the outage is resolved. After any downtime, Unito flows will scan projects and databases, and other blocks of work for any changes and sync them according to their configuration. You don’t need to do anything to get your flows working again once an outage is over.
